What Makes Us DIFFERENT

Takoda is a 10-year-old boy who started raising goats for 4H. There was an immediate connection between him and the goats. He told us that the goats needed a job between fairs. So, he decided we should start making goat milk soaps, and then he kept adding more products, making it what it is today. We live in Fairplay, Colorado, and our house sits about 11,00 ft in elevation. Takoda has made it his personal mission to raise these goats with love and to give others a better option for skincare, as he himself has skin issues. He has also decided to give back to the local 4H community, as they helped him find his passion for and love of goats. Every year, we sponsor a child in the catch-an-animal program for our local 4H. By doing this, it allows a child who wants to raise a goat the opportunity to do so. The child who receives the goat writes us monthly letters about the goat and the progress they are making. Then, when it is time for our local fair, the child takes the goat to the fair and shows it. At the end of the fair, the child will auction off the goat, and the money that the goat is sold for, the child will get to either invest in another animal for the next year or even save it for the start of a college fund.
